re: Time for bridgewater to take over

Honestly the best thing would be for Drew to retire after this season and for Teddy to opt to not re-sign here, even though he likely will. Trevor Lawrence is the future. He’s the next Andrew Luck. We have too much talent with Bridgewater at the helm to suck. We’d win 8-9 games and put us out of reach for him, unless Teddy got hurt again.

I honestly don’t believe in him. I thought I did but he just doesn’t seem to have it. I hope I’m wrong. But he seems like a Derek Carr. A guy that may have a special season in him but will mostly always be a bottom 15 QB. I honestly was hoping he’d sign in Miami because losing next year after Brees retires means we get Lawrence or someone with a higher ceiling but I have a bad feeling he will sign a 5-year deal here and we’ll be a middling team.
