Ultimately, It acts as a force multiplier.
Does it make simmons or Zion inherently more skilled at what they do at an elite level? No
However, if teams can’t adjust and focus on what they do at an elite level because they will be punished by an above average 3 point shot, then they will be more successful when utilizing their core skill set.

Realistically neither has to be above average. They just need to be respectful enough that you just can’t leave them open at the line.
