Poor nutrition from birth, poor medical care from birth, poor education (if any), history of war, violence, crime, zero development, lack of jobs, lack of training, lack of infrastructure to help people, lack of everything and a never ending cycle of crushing poverty.

Oh, and governments who give frick all about their people and the rule of law. Corruption is the only thing that matters and gets anything done. Common decency is for suckers.
