White got UF to the round of 32 despite having some injuries and no frontcourt to any significant degree. They also gave LSU two of their 3 SEC losses last season

This year they return some contributors and ADD the 7th ranked recruiting class plus the kid from VA Tech who was a highly sought after grad transfer.

They very well could be the favorite to win the league

I lived in Jax for 20+ years and loved everything about it but obnoxious redneck gator fans...lol

To me, they are LSU,s main enemy in tSEC.

Every loss to them stings more than even the gumps...

Agree whole heartedly and I think they will likely be considered the favorite going into the season (save possibly the typical media love-fest with UK).

I think many of our fans are underestimating the loss that not having Tremont will bring; but I think it can be overcome. The guards will be solid. And while I think Smart is definitely a different style from Waters, he will do well in year 2. I just hope he can learn to be a little better at creating offense for others and not just himself.

If they do not find anyone to fill the KBW role, then I think it will be critical for them to get much better at shooting the 3 and becoming a way more defensively efficient team to be a contender for championship in SEC and a 2nd weekend team again.

I do like the fact though that, without injury, this roster will be much deeper and more experienced than last years. They will be able to easily go about 10 deep without much drop-off.
