Some don't understand all the things that need to go right in order to consistently put up 12-4 or 13-3. 2017 Saints recovered because the miracle happened during a build up year where no one expected them to do much. 2018 they were the top team with everything going right most of the season and everyone expecting a Super Bowl appearance. Getting fricked by the NFL in that fashion is no different than losing a Super Bowl and coming out hungover the next year. It's all mental and the Saints have a tendency to collapse in these scenarios. Not to mention the division will be more competitive this year.

Pretty much what I’ve been preaching. On paper, we have a better team than 2018 but not only will we need to get lucky with injuries again but also need our players to stay hungry. You gotta remember, we’ve played Four more games than most other teams. That shite adds up physically and mentally. The Bucs are going to be way more competitive as will the Panthers. Falcons will always always play us tough. We have a sneaky tough schedule early with a few tough tests later in the year. This is going to be a grindy type of season where we might not secure a playoff bid until the last two weeks

Anyone saying any team's "floor" is 13-3 or 12-4 is either an idiot or not a regular NFL fan. It takes a huge amount of luck for a really, really good team to have a record like that. Those records or a best case scenario for a great team who doesn't get injury-bitten too bad. Is it possible for them to have a record like that, sure! But to say anything less than 12-4 is a failure is being stupid.

I'd be "okay" with us making the playoffs, and I think missing the playoffs would be a sad potential send-off for Drew
