Picked the clubs back up and want to really work at it to get better. I forgot how much I enjoyed being out there

I picked up the game for the first time 5-6 years ago. For the first year I played twice a week. Then got away from it for about 2-3 years and now I've been back playing once a week. Golf is amazing. It's the only sport I've ever played where I don't get much better at by just playing a lot. I think it's the challenge that makes me enjoy it so much.

I definitely will let y’all know how it goes. It sounds like us high handicappers need to go play a round

I need to get me a few more touch up lessons since I haven't had one this year. I've got a buddy getting his first lessons at David Toms this weekend. Good luck.

OP, the most important realization for me was to not expect any changes you make to take hold immediately. For me it takes about 4-5 weeks before I really start seeing a difference.

Also, I was once told to enjoy golf, you must “Embrace the Struggle”.
Good luck

Agreed. I have a little one, so its sometimes tough to carve out time. Let me know when, and we will figure something out.

I got a 14 month old so I understand! Wife is pretty good about letting me go though. Weekends are usually good if we play early. Let me know and we can put it on the books

I am thinking next Saturday - the 13th. Where do you want to play? I live in Denham, so Greystone would be close; but if you would rather Copper Mill, Santa Maria, or somewhere else - we could do that too. The earlier the better for me.

I live in Watson so Grey Stone is good with me. I just left there from my lesson and want to play it. Early is good with me let’s set it up. If you want to email at 4lsu87@gmail.com . If any other high handicappers want to join let us know.

Lesson went great. Chris is a very laid back guy. Besides being hotter the hell out there it was a very good experience. Said I have great fundamentals and swing. My big issue is coming in to steep and not shutting my club face soon enough. Had me hitting to 250 plus draws with my driver by the end. I got a lot of practicing to do to get used to the new swing plan. I feel like after a few weeks of play my game should dramatically improve!
