If traveling overseas on a 8+ day trip, try to stay away from cotton underwear/socks. I usually only pack 4 sets of wool socks and moisture wicking underwear. You can wash your dirty clothes at the hotel/hostel and the wool/moisture wicking material will dry overnight. It really saves space in the bag and are lighter. Also, always carry multiple battery packs to charge your phone because you never know when you will have time to charge your phone.
