They do have a great history, but generalizing the italian lifestyle is a bit like comparing the pacific northwest here to the southeast. Turin and Naples are completely different aside from the language

Barcelona is at an interesting point too... I think they are kind of in shambles from a leadership perspective and when Messi retires, could be in for a big fall from grace..

I just would love that sale to coincide with Sancho moving on.. I fear United are going to snag him this summer..
I hope the timing doesnt screw us. Mo leaving now would suck arse after letting Timo go. I hope Sancho has some patience and stays away from ManU this summer.

I would be shocked if Mo went anywhere.

I don't think he leaves this summer but I do believe it's a good possibility he's sold next summer. His contract runs through 2023- I'm not sure if the upper management wants to get into a situation where he's got one year let on his deal knowing that resigning could be a chore. Better to sell than let him leave on a free, and with the price he'd command I think the big clubs would be willing to wait a year. Not to mention he'll be 31 when his deal expires.
I love what he's done for the club and wouldn't fault him or be upset if he wanted to finish his career in Spain or back in Italy. Another good season next year and then selling next summer would generate a massive transfer fee. Mane is the one I really don't want to lose from the front 3.

Or Bobby. We just need to get a Sancho or Mbappe (crazy?) to replace him. Who wouldn’t want to play with Bobby doing all the dirty work to free you up with Mane on the other side. These names sound crazy but I think with the money we have not spent recently, Nike and a big sale we could swing it.

One will probably go next summer... the key is always knowing when to sell so that you can get max profit and keep the squad young... I trust our recruitment under Klopp, but all three would be hard to replace...
The last thing we want is three "past it" forwards, with no re-sale value..

I adore Mo, but if I had to choose one of the front three to go it would be him. His goals and finishing (when he decides he is good at finishing), aren't replicable. But his role in the front three can be replicated by players out there. The other two roles would be much harder to replace, and I’m not sure there’s another player in the world that has the same skill set for this system that Bobby has.

Bobby is the glue that keeps it together
Mo has been a bit of job hopper so he may bolt
He is easiest to replace with a $100m transfer.
Barca keeps bringing guys is with no thought to chemistry
Klopp is the master of NOT doing that

I think he would legit cost 300M.
No way we're paying that.

Yeah that one isn’t happening unfortunately. Even in the best of times we wouldn’t drop a small country’s GDP on a player.
Posted on 7/29/20 at 9:07 pm to BleedPurpleGold
300 is insane. Good news is it looks like Sancho will cost 120 and must be done by 8/10. I think he stays at BVB this year and that gives us a hell of a chance I think.

Okay, seeing the kit on the guys on social, it's not bad at all... And the home GK kit is pretty legit tbh

yeah, I like it.. simple and clean... I think the teal trim is a nice change of pace..

Adidas had teal trim years ago
Don't think Nike does not enjoy tweaking the Germans on this

It’s Barca’s away in a different color. Not saying it looks bad but weak fricking sauce from Nike

What did you expect? We knew they'd pull this shite.
Sucks but it is what it is. Money is money.
No one is going to come close to the NB kits quality and originality wise and I'd rather have Nike than BS from Adidas and Puma.
Their stuff is complete trash this year.

So I believe our real transfer plans are coming into focus. Mandi for 9 at CB, The Greek as cover for Andy at 9 and 8 for the 19 year old Arsenal striker Balogun. Now that sounds like a Covid Summer window for this club. At this point we are just bringing in back ups and we are not going to do something drastic. I think Keita and Ox could really contribute a lot more next year if they can stay healthy. I think Keita could possibly be an everyday starter if he can string quality starts together like we’ve seen him do. Of course since it’s football transfers who the hell knows I’m just bored already.

Don't forget we've already welcomed Mateusz Musialowski into the fold, not that he'll feature anywhere except maybe some cup matches for the foreseeable future
