I agree that this is maybe correct, but it can be very difficult to tell a sharpie from a cooper's hawk. Got any photos of the back side, or the tip of its tail? Was it the size of a crow, or more like a dove?

I had 1 fly up and land in a branch probably 10' away from me last deer season. Beautiful bird, I had to search google images of hawks after it flew off to figure out what kind it was.
