It's not clear, but it seems to be a series of payments. That would seem to rule out a large payment which, in my mind, be a recruiting inducement. In that case, would he need to pay to KEEP Vadal Alexander at LSU?

Otherwise, why exactly would Funes be paying Vadal's father unless it was to get some of it back (basically laundering the embezzled money).
