Gaye, yeah, I could see that... not much risk in not taking him, as he's a JUCO kid, so the value of the relationship for LSU is not as great...

Berry, i don't think so... they are working hard to establish in-roads in California, and if you look at the upcoming few classes, it's easy to see why... "processing" him, at this point, would be a big step back in that effort...

now, position changes, that's more likely, but again, inherent risk with that situation too... recruit may feel a certain way about being asked to play a different position, or even they do agree to it, doesn't mean that a 4 star DL will be a 4 star OL...

i'm just saying we need to make sure we just don't burn any bridges, nor shoot ourselves in the foot by being a little too eager taking verbals on guys that we initially meant to be sort of backup plans to our original wants
