Common decency dictates that the whistlers should have stopped their antics the moment they learned that they were a nuisance to everyone else in attendance and watching on TV/streaming.

fricking this! But instead they doubled down on their annoying behavior, which tells me that they think it's all about them and not the team. And that's where the line is drawn. When a fan crosses over from supporting their team to drawing attention to themselves then I don't consider them a "superfan" anymore. K-lady kind of does that but at least she's not disturbing the other fans around her.

There's nothing wrong with the cheering for your team. That's normal. People start cheers all the time whether it's a person who repeatedly starts them or just someone in the crowd. However, whistling is a different type of noise not pleasant to the ears. It is shrill and sharp.

K-Lady doesn't bother anyone. I've seen other teams who have someone hanging Ks when there are strike outs. Chris leads cheers. While you may not like it, it's normal fan behavior and cheering is expected. Comparing Chris and K-Lady with the whistlers is not a fair comparison.

I would think players tune all this stuff out. They probably mostly hear noise rather than specifics unless they're trying to hear the cheers. They're on the field and not in the stands. They may not even hear the whistlers for all I know.

The whistlers affect fans, likely on both sides. Additionally, at the CWS, there are fans from a lot of teams watching games. I can't imagine being near these guys in the stands because it's bad enough hearing them on TV.
