I am friends with tons of Vandy grads that are big baseball fans and have gone to plenty of games with them.
Not one of them likes the whistlers and most of them absolutely fricking hate the guys. They don't go to some midweek games because its not worth being around that. He's literally keeping fans from going.
Part of the blame can be put on Corbin. The whistlers have said if he asks them to stop, they will stop. And he won't do it.

This is a no win situation, IMO. I think if the noises are disruptive to the fan experience and people complain, then it should stop. However, that sets a precedent that if an opposing team doesn't like your "superfan 
, then they can complain to get it to stop.
Teams like Mississippi St have the cowbells, and Vandy has the whistlers. It is hard for me to watch Vandy baseball because of the whistlers, but I don't think there is a solution to the problem that won't offend fanbases.
