Do they really still do that?

I forgot jury duty once and called when I remembered (about 3 days later). The lady just laughed and said they don't issue warrants anymore for missed jury duty. She said they may send someone by to find out why you didn't show IF they have a very small pool. But otherwise, they stick you back in the rotation for the next jury.

I had to go about a month later.
