66 years ago, Iran was the frontline against the Soviets. What had to be done was done.

Iran and the ME was better off for it.
It was the most prosperous time in modern history for them and kept a lid on the Sunni/Shia conflicts in the region.
Mosaddegh was also hated by the clerics in Iran...almost more than the Shah.
