The CP3 narrative reminds me somewhat of how people used to talk about Dirk. Dirk was soft and wasn’t clutch, except he always played through injuries or came back sooner than expected. And he was consistently one of the most clutch guys in the league.
People have put that label on CP3 now, of not being clutch. Thing is, guy has been really good in the playoffs. Also, like Dirk, he has consistently been one of the most clutch guys in the league for most of his career.
Perception is reality. Kobe was perceived as being the most clutch guy just because that’s how he carried himself. People see what they see what they want to see.
