its because everyone acts like hes the second coming. dude is a good basketball player and a great shooter, but shouldnt be mentioned in the same breath as a kobe, MJ, or lebron, and people/media talk about him like hes some sort of goat

I think he’s more portrayed as the greatest sharpshooter more than the greatest player.

I think there are parallels to Tom Brady. They and the Patriots/Warriors were a refreshing new face when they won their first titles. Now that they’re the front-runners, they come off as insufferable d-bags.

I also think there’s also a brush-back with Durant and the fact that he’s not doing with a traditional power—the team and their fan base are portrayed as front runners.

You can make an argument that he is at best the 3rd best player if not 4th on his own team.

-KD is a better player.
-Klay is a top 5 all-time shooter and an elite defender.
-Draymond is a top defender, can stretch the floor, has good court vision, and is the emotional leader on the court.

I could see Steph/Draymond flipping 3 and 4, but KD and Klay are beter basketball players.

I haven't heard a single person compare him to any of those players. Because they know it would be a ridiculous statement and they could not be taken seriously again.
