It does, but not in the sense that you think.
You are factually correct in your post.
Your take on the meme I have issue with.
The meme is for simpletons imho.
The dialogue based on it isn't defined by the official or unofficial designation of a holiday, but rather that you are a bigot if you don't support both equally. I personally have no issue with Pride month. However, if I own a business, was asked by the LBGTQ community to support an event...and refused, then the possibility of a character assasination may be in my future. If I choose not to support a veterans event...crickets. Why, because most veterans that I know feel that freedom is a core principal. Colin K comes to mind. I was offended by his actions, but defended his right to protest. The LGBTQ community generally would not apply these parameters in my view. You are with their ideology, or you are the enemy. I would imagine that a history of alienation and subjugation drives that thought process. Yet, today...at least to me, the ability to have a Pride month speaks volumes in terms of progress for the acceptance of their ideology. The push back, at least as I see it, is based on the inability of the LBGTQ community to accept the freedom of others with differing beliefs. This has lead to sharpened divisions which has lead to pandering to the lowest common denominator. Hence...this meme.
This meme, imo, is designed to illustrate that difference in it's most simplified way. If that is the case, then it is successful.
FWIW, I don't like the meme.
Just my .02.
