OUACHITA PARISH, La. (KNOE) - UPDATE: The suspect's mother, Amy Michelle Hubbard, has also been charged in connection with the case.
According to arrest records, the suspect called Hubbard after he escaped Green Oaks on Saturday. The call was allegedly made from the 5300 block of Jackson Street. Documents indicate that Hubbard picked up the suspect, along with another escapee, from a store and drove them to an address in West Monroe.
Authorities say she knew both suspects were legally detained at Green Oaks. She's charged with two counts of assisting with an escape.
The father of a 17-year-old Green Oaks escapee who sparked a manhunt in Ouachita Parish has been arrested in connection with the case.
According to documents filed with 4th Judicial Court in Ouachita Parish, Brian McClain has been charged for allegedly helping his son, Brandon Kaleb McClain, after an escape Saturday from the Green Oaks Juvenile Detention Center.
In addition to being an escapee, Brandon Kaleb McClain (who goes by just Kaleb) was also wanted on a felony warrant for burglary of a religious building.
