Andrews' group is employed by many (also Alabama, the Tampa Bay Rays, and the Washington Redskins). I have a friend who works for them in orthopedics (Ole Miss alum) and travels with the Alabama football team every week (Andrews doesn't). Dr. Andrews treats athletes from all over the country, both college and professional, and would treat LSU athletes as well if consulted to do so. There's no "wtf is that about" to it. He owns a business and has a lot of clients. It's also not surprising his medical center in Birmingham is employed by two major universities in that state. He's not shutting down his practice to exclusively treat LSU athletes. That would be a very poor business decision on his part. I also haven't seen anything that says Andrews or his staff are the doctors that treated Henry.
Yeah, Andrews group may be the "official doctors of XYZ program" but they will treat all comers. Also, I believe he is personally practicing more out of Pensacola these days, and is semi-retired.
Pretty much any "team doctors" also have non-team patients and a "day job" with a local group/hospital.

Yep, Andrews is not young anymore (he's 77) and when someone says they were treated by Dr. Andrews, I can fairly assume most are being treated by one of the other numerous doctors employed by his medical center. I'd venture to guess he doesn't perform many surgeries anymore. Very rare to see 77 year olds still actively practicing medicine and performing surgery
