Exactly what I just did. We have a decent wifi signal on our back porch. But I still grabbed our roku from our bedroom to try out first. It worked so I ordered one off Amazon. They do make a Roku with extended wifi but I didn't feel the need to get it. I added a flat antenna to the tv for around $25 that gets me ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and PBS. Very pleased with the setup.
