The place is remarkably well done, IMO. Honestly, most of the misery seems to stem from how your family handles it!

If my family is happy there I am happy. I actually like the water parks which are not as crowded or hectic. And they really did a great job with Disney Springs with some really good restaurants (A and a few really bad ones.) I know I am getting clipped on the hotel and tickets but I waste my money on a lot of things that do not bring that much happy to my family so who cares.

This. If you had a bad time at Disney, YOU planned bad.
I always have a good time, just leave the stress outside. Taking two years off for Star wars to settle down.
