Boat Lift Blues

All right guys, let’s see if the OB is as good as I think. I have a cable and strap boat lift with one on bow and stern. The bow portion of the lift is “unbalanced” all of the sudden. In other words, the strap lifts much higher on the starboard side than port all of the sudden. I unwound it all the way and rewound it but that did not help. I’ve put pressure on the high side trying to even it out. Not sure what to do at this point. Anyone know what’s up? One gear box with a rod at bow on starboard side.

the side that is stopping is getting jammed up, its not rocket science its just a pulley getting stuck when its under load, most likely the bearings crapped out in it.
release strap pressure, remove cable, spin pulley, if its raspy and grumbling then replace it.
if one is bad replace them all, they generally go out at the same time and you dont want one seizing with the boat in the air

He's right^
Sounds like a pulley. Try grease. If not, might be out $20 for a new pulley

Thanks guys. I searched the internet and couldn’t find anything this specific. Any idea Who sells different size pulleys? First time lift owner here
