Crazy to think we still have Caleb Gilbert at LSU and he just doesn’t have it like he used to. Such a sad situation

Gilbert basically is GA on scholly now. I feel terrible for the kid that he will never get a chance to pitch again.

He grew up in Hoover, Alabama, or as he put it, "behind enemy lines."
Both of his parents are LSU grads.

Not for nothing, knowing it is over after he leaves LSU, why not try and throw anyways? It seems as if they are afraid he will reinjure himself but I could be wrong. He could also be missing what he used to have too.
Is it a combo of not having it and being scared to pitch and hurt his shoulder again?

He might even hit the mascot....
ETA: Good morning, Paul.

Yeah, let's throw him in a Super Regional, while we try to earn a trip to Omaha. Solid idea.

Is that what I said? Who said that would be a good idea? I am pretty sure I was asking a question.

That was your exact question. Name me a time that would be appropriate for him to throw from this point forward.

I was just asking a hypothetical to see what the odds are he ever comes back. I wasn't suggesting we use him in a Super Regional, geez man, put your pants back on and chill

None.
It was discussed for the last game of the season against Auburn, but the game didn't dictate it. If there was any chance at all he could give us innings they would have tried it out at some point.

Appearances
4: Parker Bugg
How does one have 4 appearances in a three games?

Looks like we really lucked out when FSU won.
Our home/away splits this season and historically in the Supers would support that.

Guessing it’s taking into account more than one season.

His ERA is over 5.00 but his numbers are nasty outside of that

The past isn’t always an accurate representation of the future or the present. Common fallacy amongst most individuals.
