THIS is what keeps screaming at me inside my brain when I consider buying the Telluride and putting my wife and children in it. I'm just uneasy but I really like that vehicle.
They got their start by filling a niche. Over the years they've improved and now they are changing their image same as Hyundai.
Not too different than Honda and Toyota.

I wouldn't buy the first year production of any automotive model/manufacturer
