It's a very solid series. Not nearly as good as his Dresden Files series, and not top tier for current fantasy authors or anything, but well worth reading.
Hopefully Butcher gets it back together as an author, he's turned into Rothfuss/Martin lite with the long book turnaround all the sudden (though at least much like Lynch he seems to have had legit stuff holding him back).

Good. He needs to take his time. The last three Dresden books were meh, good, meh. In his rush to release he has compromised quality.
