Because the NYPD found the Weiner laptop when they raided/arrested him. When looking at laptop for Porn and oddities they found some 33,000 Hillary emails on the laptop that were of classified in nature. NYPD freaked out and told FBI "you need to handle this or we will go public about it from our office". So, Comey had no choice but to take it public.
Trump investigation has involved some covert shady frickery being committed that they don't want the world to see.

Actually, Comey failed to examine HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of emails on Weiner's computer.
At this point, with everything we know, does anyone think this was just a coincidence?
