I find it amusing when people say they are a fiscal conservatives but don't care about social issues.
Social issues like welfare , food stamps , Section 8 housing , foreign aid , illegals etc... cost money.
If you are a fiscal conservative you should care about social issues , and you should be socially conservative as well. It isn't logical if you are not.

I think when most people say that, the social issues that they are referring to are abortion, gay marriage, and marijuana. If they are fiscally conservative they look at food stamps, welfare, and section 8 housing as a fiscal issue, not a social issue.
