Pressure building in MS to sue to stop Bonnet Carre opening

Besides the anecdotal evidence regarding "Muh Dolphins", is there any tangible evidence the bonnet Carre damages the MS seafood industry?

I mean the damn thing opens damn near annually these days...

If the Corps would let the river change course to the Atchafalaya at the ORCS, would any water make its way down the Bonnet Carre? If not, then I'd say MS has a case for damages. It would mean the corps is pushing river unaturally and into the Ms Sound via the BC.

If the structure was never built, would the water naturally flood that area anyway? If so, they want to sue Louisiana to prevent a naturally occurring event and Louisiana to suffer detrimental losses at a magnitude greater than they will if the gates remain closed?
