Shhh. All these conservative religious people don’t want to think about the real history and thoughts regarding abortion.
St. Augustine. Not homicide.
Later on Irish Canons said sex outside marriage was a greater sin than abortion.
Aquinas: vegetative soul, animal, etc.

One big problem. Irish Canons are from the Church of Ireland.
You also shortened Augustine’s writing to omit the completed position:
