Bull shite. I have no problem with welfare in theory, but it's obvious a government can't make people responsible. People typically get out of poverty when they're not offered this stuff for life. If a woman loves her kid, she'll bust her arse to provide a life for him. If she doesn't, she won't have them for economic reasons anymore.

I agree with you that the government can’t make people act responsibly. But let’s say we outlawed abortion tomorrow. What do we do with the millions of unwanted kids that would have otherwise been aborted? Adoption doesn’t touch the problem. The answer is a massive expansion of the foster care, Medicaid, and government-run orphanage system.

You down with paying for it all? I’m not. Let the poors self-select to kill their unwanted kids if they want to.

My guess is it comes down to you don't really believe it's a human life. I say that because you can't put a price on millions of human lives. I get where you're coming from, I just have a hard time accepting that we should allow killing human lives for economic gain. I understand this and it's a difference in opinion I can accept.
