We had a $10k budget and ended up spending $20k. We didn’t even have to rent a venue. It was all pretty minimal but it adds up. Every wedding I’ve been to as an adult easily has been $40k ++. Lol at the dads that say they won’t open the pocket book

I place no value on weddings, but it meant a lot to my wife so we ended up spending somewhere in the 40-50K range. She paid for the entire thing other than her rings and rehearsal dinner, so I'm not sure on the exact cost. We do pretty well though so it wasn't a big hit in terms of savings, and we already owned a home together at the time.
