I quit 6-7 times before actually quitting. The two things that helped me:
Finding a legit reason to quit. I quit for my sister's twins who were fighting for their life in the NICU. I said if they could fight, then my battle was easy.
Everytime you get an urge, tell yourself to wait 3 minutes. Generally the urge subsides, and the next craving is further out. As you stay away from it, the cravings will space out more.
Hardest part is sticking with it. I can't say that I havent had a drunken cig or two. The last time i had one was about 3 years ago, and it tasted so bad I swore never again.
