Everyone old enough to remember that day pretty much walked through the whole place in silence or minimal talking. The kids who weren't born yet acted like it was a fun time.


This makes me sad. But also shows proper respect isn't being taught by the adults in charge of those kids. I lived in Arlington at that time. I will never forget that day.

I agree a little, but I think it's more about witnessing the event vs reading about it in a history book. They don't have that emotional attachment to that day so it's not a somber place for them.

My mom would've smacked me though if I made a similar comment in say the JFK museum or something.
