So, this may be a crazy question but with the stages at record highs how is the cubic ft. not enough to open?

Water has to get to a certain height before farmers can get money for all there loses if gates are opened. That’s why they haven’t opened it yet. I was told that by a well known farmer in that spillway. I also hunt in there so I hope they don’t open it.

Everyone thinks that Morganza is the reason the for the increased in high water days north of BR and that increasing the flow would some how help. The issue is with the Old River Control Structure it’s what keeps NO and BR from being a salt water paradise.
