Hmm, young guy, no ties, flush with cash, on a hunch I called the US embassy, and yes junior had applied for a Visa. I told them the story and they said I can red line him here in Trinidad, OR red line him in the states so he can waste a ticket and be humiliated. I opted for the former.

My point is, sounds like they were indeed waiting on this fella, it had nothing to do with his cell phone messages.
