The people that ride the Greyhound are those that basically can’t afford to rent a car. Or have a friend that can drive them. Or use anything else but the last possible way to get there.
vs. $29 (or $17 or $ 38) for a MegaBus, that's a pretty big difference.

In 2000 from Birmingham to NYC round trip.
It took about 24 hours each way. The stops are killer. The greatest excitement was one lady smoking crack in the bathroom. The driver was having none of that.
