It’s actually yes and no.

Let’s start with the reasons for NO.

For today’s graduating seniors, the majority of them will need some sort of post secondary certification/education in order to make more than $15 an hour. Which frankly is like bare minimum to move out of mom’s house.

Now the YES reasons are that these are careers that before would’ve been on the job training. So in theory, graduates should be qualified at entry level positions without having to take on extra debt just to get specific training for a specific field.

And of course there’s the whole- you’re a loser and dumb if you don’t go to college mentality. Which most high schools are getting away from now with different diploma tracks.

It’s a complex issue.
