Hess’s mechanics have changed

It looks as if his arm slot has lowered and he’s throwing across his body, almost like Louis Coleman used to, but not as exaggerated. Not sure if this on purpose or just a temporary loss of feel but it didn’t look the same as before. Anyone else notice this?

I believe he overthrows every pitch, which makes him a thrower rather than a pitcher. Hopefully, he gets in a system that has a great pitching coach that can teach him to take a little off his pitches and thereby gains much needed control.

I think you’re reaching. Sometimes, pitchers just get hit. Part of baseball.

I thought Hess threw like we’d already won the series.
Game 2 was money Hess. Game 3 was meh Hess.

The average fan only remembers the last couple of weeks from his freshman season and they expect that pitcher every outing. They weren’t paying attention when he was a average to above average midweek starter

He has no command of his fastball, just rares back and throws. And if he gets ahead, he’ll hang a breaking ball over the middle to get smashed.

We would settle for sometimes ,seems he gets hit all the time...He wouldn’t be my closer. Same thing happened to Fontenot and we removed him from the role..
