I haven't watched the race on TV in years. Too much bullshite leading up to it. I watched the Derby this year on TV because I was not at home and my "host" was allegedly a huge racing fan. By the time the horses got on the track, I was worn out by the "coverage".

If I remember right, many years ago, when I was growing up, the coverage of all 3 TC races was merely a portion of the "Wide World of Sports" (on ABC). Maybe 15-20 mins of coverage leading up to the race and then a few minutes to make it official after.

To go back to the good old days.

I watched a few minutes of it, and they were doing some virtual reality look at people’s absurd outfits. Made me want to vomit.

Horses are amazing, beautiful animals, and I imagine there were a lot of cool scenes they could have filmed of the horses, the green grass, stables, jockeys, trainers, etc.
Instead we get some fricking pop culture morons in pink jackets or some bullshite.
