agree with the fact you can’t compare a preseason team to a great team
if you would read my post you would see that is not what I am doing - it’s a might be thing

Both those guys were winning games as freshmen, we were fricked if Brennan had to start last season.
to be fair, if Brennan had to start last season he'd have been doing so with one of the most inexperienced offenses LSU had in the 20 or so years I've been watching.
the 08 offense was the polar opposite, a ton of experience everywhere but QB. damn you, Ryan11.

we have yet to see if Coach O will let Joe Brady be and do what he is talking. If Coach O unlike CLM allows Joe Brady to bring his full book to the game. LSU could see 2019 be the year we break out of being the 3rd or 4th best team in the SEC.
According to what he said Monday night I believe he will allow Joe to coach as he sees fit as far as the passing game goes. Coach Eaux mentions the Saints a few times on different subjects. Even that the Saints have showed them how they break down opponents.
Seems like they spend a lot of time with the Saints coaches. I made a post recently that had an LSU coach other than Eaux saying that a Saints assistant coach had been at LSU a couple days before.
** Remembered ** It was Dennis Johnson: "We're always doing research and development. Just the other day, the D-line coach from the Saints (Ryan Nielsen) was in."
Back to Brady - at the 26:00 minute mark of the audio below - Coach Eaux says that Joe LOVES Stephen Sullivan and is moving him around in the passing game, So it sounds like they are letting Joe do his thing in the passing game.

Giving over the passing game to a guy two years removed from being a GA and a high career mark if generic offensive assistant. Only the best assistants, folks

Of course he does. He knows lemmings will lap it up and get visions of LSU running an offense as potent as the Saints.

agree - I guess i’m a lemming
I like what I’m hearing
We want know until we see it
i’m not sure lemmings can see?

They play any other team than that Bama team and LSU wins a Championship. The schedule it took to get there was brutal.
