Tons of dead dragonflies

Hundreds upon hundreds of dead dragonflies are around back patio and pool area. This is the first time I have ever seen this in years of mosquito truck spraying through the neighborhood (Jefferson Parish) and seems particularly troubling.
No idea if there has been change in chemicals or the concentration but this seems like bad thing to wipe out beneficial insects in the process.

The Army Corps of Engineers hates our way of life and the dragon flies that southeast la is known for.

Now that you mention it, I live just north of Jackson, and haven’t seen a dragonfly so far. Normally they are everywhere. Love bugs on the other hand are everywhere.

I've seen more than a few dead ones on our driveway in Ascension lately, too.
