Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I am curious as to how long it takes AT&T to light up the fiber. The subcontractor came through early last month and tore up the yards in the neighborhood running fiber. I would have thought at least one AT&T van would have been seen working the area since then. I like most people are waiting for fiber so I can ditch Cox. One other question, I know my neighbor across the street got one of the in-ground boxes dropped in her backyard. On my side of the street, I have the green Cox tube and a neighbor behind me has the green AT&T cube but not the in-ground box. I looked at the neighbors on each side of our houses and they don't have one either. How many houses do one of those boxes support? Thanks

What neighborhood are you in? Reason I ask is because I am in Azalea Lakes and we just had the fiber lines run a month or so ago.

I am over in the Oak Hills area. I pay Cox $185 for 100/12, the 140 channel Contour package and a phone line that goes unused. Currently have cell service with ATT so I am hoping the $90/mo fee drops to $80/mo as I have heard other folks saying their cell plan gets a bundle discount.

Even if I have to pay $90 + fees, the additional cost for Hulu or YTV is still going to save me $30-$40 per month over what I am paying Cox. Plus no data cap!

What really gets me is there is one side of one street in the neighborhood that connects to the adjacent neighborhood. Those are the only houses in my neighborhood that can get fiber today. Everyone else is waiting for what I can only imagine is the backend work.

They ran fiber in our neighborhood over a year ago and we just now have it available.
