If I am not being overly optimistic, I see us winning a playoff series next season with maybe a second round exit. That is Zion having a strong rookie season and Jrue, AD, and Zion being healthy all year.

I am unsure what kind of real chemistry or continuity the team really has from this past season.

Would a competitive second round exit really keep AD here? Can he be the leader of the team after last season? Can the leader role shift to Jrue if AD has the awards?

These are items that push me to want to cash out now and build around Jrue and Zion.

You guys have to stop thinking about things like "How far the Pelicans go" is the end all/be all that would win him over or not. That was not his biggest problem. And results are sometimes luck based

Griffin wants to prove to him that the organization as a whole is different. The way they do everything, from their facilities to their strength and conditioning and rehab processes to their transparacy with players. Management and coaching staffs being on the same page.

Think about your job, wherever you work. Yes, it is a very awesome feeling when your business succeeds. Better to be the #1 bank in the city than #3. But thats not the lone thing that makes you want to stay at your job or leave it. Its the environment in the building. Its upper management giving you the resources you need to do your job well. Its being able to walk into your bosses office and have an open conversation. Its freedom to express your opinion and have them taken seriously. I can go on and on.

Point is -- It would not be as simple as: Make WCF or better and he stays. Second round exit or earlier and he goes. Doesn't work like that.
