A couple of the posters have already mentioned online teaching. I know a teacher who does it on the side and makes around $1,500 extra per month. She works with VIPKid and really enjoys it. She says the only negative is the hours. Lessons have to be taught on Beijing time, so she would have to get up rather early. But seriously, your wife would have a very flexible schedule and make a pretty decent chunk of change.
