all you have to do is just toss the scent blocks in, or hang an air freshener, in the r/a shaft and call it a day

Maybe, but the main reason I want to do it is so I can put like 5 blocks in there and not have to change it out often. If the fan blows over them all the time its gonna be too strong.
Plus in the summer and winter the fan runs alot more than in the spring and fall... so it wouldn't be consistent.
