Rakim Jarrett the opening 2019

Rakim Jarrett is owning dudes at the opening this year, check out the film.

Dude's footwork is ridiculously quick, and so are his starts and stops and cuts out of breaks. You also have to consider the level of talent he is making look like absolute fools of too. No wonder why Elias Ricks worked so hard to get Rakim to commit here. I'm sure glad he did, and big-time props to Elias for putting in that work.

The kid is jacked big time for a receiver too. I didn't see a single kid hang with him in these drills. All the tools, and the kid's work ethic add up to possibly being one of the all time greats here.

He’s got the skills, but his attitude is what I’m pumped about!

He’s way ahead of the curve. He will play early.

I've had a vision of Rakim making a spectacular catch in the NC game, the winning catch. This 2020 recruiting class will go down in history as one of the most productive and successful classes in the history of college football. Not where they are ranked, but actual production on the field and in the NFL. Future HOF players in this group. And the more I watch Max Johnson the more impressed I am. He plays with pressure and nearly always throws the ball within 3 seconds. He will be a lot better than his pops!!!

He’s got all the traits of a great WR. Smooth route runner, catches everything with his hands, separates easily from DB’s, and speed in the open field to take it the distance.

I don’t think Jarrett was even the MVP at his Opening Regional. Somebody else must have really showed out.

LSU appears to be targeting a different type WR now. These guys are similar to the last wave of Bama WR. Saban started sacrificing size for speed and separation skills at WR. Jarrett, Boutte, and Burton are similar in that way...although Jarrett is built like a tank as well.

I like it. I’m a big fan separation skills from WR’s.

They went with someone else because of how Jarrett runs with his arms so low.

How fast is he? Seems more quick than fast. I’m getting Jarvis Landry vibes!

Glad to hear someone else sees this. He looks like a more physically developed Jarvis at this point in his career. Outstanding route runner.

LSU 2020 WR Commits 40 yard Dash Times:

Kayshon Boutte: 4.37

Rakim Jarret: 4.40

Jermaine Burton: 4.43

-

Jermaine’s 4.43 was recorded 14 months ago, so it’s probably a bit lower by now. Some believe he’s the fastest receiver in the class.

The speed is crazy here. If your team doesn’t have 3 DBs who can run sub 4.5, LSUs 2020 WRs are gonna torch you.

And Palmer is faster than all 3. At least at 100 and 200m.

Palmer’s recent 100m was basically the same as Donte Jackson’s best in HS and faster than K. Vincent’s HS best.

And Palmer’s 200m was faster than both Jackson and Vincent’s HS bests.
