Will be in Cape Town for four nights next week. Was wondering if anyone on here could recommend a couple places to eat? TIA.

I thought Carne was good. I did not have the ostrich there but ended up having it somewhere else and it was really good, so don't fear trying it. Not a gimmick.
Went to another place called Seabreeze. Let me get the menu item that stood out. It was like a squid pasta or something. My friend works with a guy that is from there that gave us a list so let me see if I can find it.
I think I may have deleted it cleaning out my email earlier today...
Btw I thought a small little gin bar called The Gin Bar was cool. The front is a "Honest Chocolate Cafe" that will look closed. Go through to the back to find the gin bar. If you search Maps with the gin bar and use street view you'll see what I mean.
I liked Hank's Old Irish Pub too.
Found the list:
Steak - Carne. **
Sushi - Kyoto.
Hudson's - craft burgers.
Tapas and wine - La Boheme.
Jason Bakery- breakfast.
Jonkershuis - wine and cheese.
Bukhara - Indian.
Reuban's in Franshoek. Personal favorite after wine tasting at Haute Cabere.
The Secret Gin Bar - great night out ****
The Grand - V&A Waterfront.
Oranjezicht Farmer's Market - great Saturday morning stroll.
Publik - wine bar.
Run - Sea Point promenade or check out Tuesday Trails as they have group runs up Table Mountain.
Love Thy Neighbour for Greek and beers/gin in a courtyard. **
Hank’s for whisky & a night out.**
Botanical Bar or The Stack for smart cocktails.
Bocca for neopolitan pizzas and tapas.

I really enjoyed The Test Kitchen. It's the more casual sister restaurant of the highly rated Pot Luck Club (often listen on top 50 restaurants in the world). I'd suggest going there for a lunch then checking out the Neighbourgood's Market (farmer's market) in Old Biscuit Mill after.
Aubergine was also very good, a little more fine dining.
If you have time to go to wine country, there will be great scenery and food and drinks as well. I'd suggest getting a driver for that.

I agree going out to Franschhoek etc is a must.
If you're boozing and driving back get a driver. Otherwise, it's very easy to drive out there yourself.

Thank you so much. I'll be staying at the Victoria & Alfred hotel so I will check out the Grand for sure. Will make a trip to the Test Kitchen as well.
