Well, that, and sometimes, "outrage" campaigns actually turn in to marketing FOR the company.

This depends on the company. I mean, if your market your product to a niche audience, you obviously don't want THAT niche to be outraged at you.

But, if you market your product to a general audience and some tiny niche gets "outraged" at you, they are more likely to drive customers TO your establishment than away.
