Why?

Because he's the greatest coach of all-time?

We all understood why he left and celebrated him on his way out. Sucks that the circumstances played out the way they did after that, because he would've loved to come back to LSU from Miami if he had the opportunity.

He has done nothing to hurt LSU in the time since other than being a really fricking good coach.

I'll always love Saban for what he did for this program, same goes for Les. 2003 and 2007 were so much fun.

Revisionist history???

There was no celebration of Saban on his way out. While most appreciated him for the natty and could certainly understand him leaving (especially after the deal he got from Huizenga and the repeated NFL rumors year after year), there was certainly no celebration.

He repeatedly lied about leaving. And then left on CHRISTMAS day. No celebration for sure.
